What changed

Android 14 handsets can reset the "install from unknown sources" permission after a system update. The reset is silent; the next install attempt shows the system dialog as if it had never been granted.

How to fix it

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps.
  2. Locate the browser you used to tap Install App.
  3. Toggle the permission on for the current session.
  4. Return to the install page and tap Install App again.

Why we do not bundle a custom installer

The brand ships a single APK download served from the verified destination. Bundling a custom installer would require a second permission grant and would expose users to a third-party component. The Android 14 reset is a known quirk that the /how-it-works/ page already covers.
